Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the warehouse supervisor, this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse including: Receiving, Stockroom, and Shipping. You will be supporting all warehouse functions as needed and will maintain the physical and systematic integrity of the stockroom. This position will be responsible for maintaining KPI's and the warehouse SQDC board along with tracking and addressing disturbances. You will also be responsible for training warehouse personnel on existing and new processes along with maintaining all warehouse playbooks/job aids. This position will ensure safety standards are adhered to and act as the safety liaison for the warehouse.
- Oversee daily cycle count by ABC code to ensure all materials are counted within fiscal year
- Ensure all ARM, RMA's, and Depot Repair orders are done in a timely manner
- Maintain and report out SQDC board in the daily morning meeting
- Disturbance tracking and investigation
- Ensure the milk run for production and flow lines is performed at specific intervals as outlined by warehouse supervisor on a daily basis
- Maintain warehouse playbooks and job aids for all positions
- Train new and existing warehouse personnel on process and SAP
- Backfill any position in the warehouse as needed
- SAP Power User for Shipping and Receiving
- Attend monthly Logistics Forum in order to share best practices and stay up to date on current best practices within Mettler Toledo
- Assess freight and other cost drivers and review for savings or efficiency improvements
- Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Mettler-Toledo Thornton goals and objectives.
What You Need to Succeed
- SAP Experience required in SD Modules
- Three to five years' experience in material handling/stockroom/shipping/warehouse environment
- Basic Math skills required
- Hazmat Certification for logistics required
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and high energy level are critical
- Knowledge of UPS/FedEx/K&N/DHL shipping systems
- Works successfully in both an independent and team environment
- Ability to prioritize and distinguish between high impact and low impact problems and opportunities
- Attention to accuracy and detail with the ability to identify errors, identify root causes and define sustainable corrective actions
- Available to work some overtime
- High School Diploma
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
