Sales Engineer Supervisor

Role/Purpose:

The Sales-Engineer Supervisor, Eagle Product Inspection is responsible for working with Field Sales (i.e. Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, Partner’s Managers, Distributors & Representatives) and Inside Sales primarily in the Americas reviewing user requirement specifications, conduct product testing, creates test reports, formulates custom quotations and performs technical order reviews coordinating with members of Engineering and Product Management to determine the appropriate solution to meet specific customer needs. In addition this position coordinates and manages the Lutz Florida Application Laboratory including supervision of the Applications Laboratory Assistant, assisting in product testing, executing factory acceptance tests and other customer visits to the facility. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Proactively leads the Lutz, FL Applications Laboratory and new applications development for the Eagle and ensures application laboratory processes are correctly followed.

o   Assigns duties and manages Applications Laboratory Assistant tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to application/product testing and those tasks associated with that process to support sales and service initiatives.

§  Motivates and develops the skills of the Applications Laboratory Assistant.

§  Provides coaching, assesses performance regularly, provides feedback accordingly, and completes performance reviews on time.

o   Coordinates and conducts testing including hosting customer trials and factory acceptance tests within the Applications Lab, ensures on-time completion of tests with the use of the resources available.

o   Prepares and presents test results to End User Customers, Eagle Channel Partners, and internal personnel either in person or virtually (e.g. Teams, WebEx, or Zoom).

o   Ensure once product tests are completed test results logged appropriately in the applications test library and imported into the appropriate company databases.

o   Works with Engineering to test and evaluate software/hardware/product handling/reject systems creating associated support materials as needed.

o   Manages and maintains Lab inventory (Hardware, machines, options/accessories needed) including product samples storage.

o   Tracks and monitors KPI's for the Laboratory providing regular reports and analysis to Eagle Management.

·  Creates and releases information to the Eagle organization on customer based application specific solutions and machine configurations to further leverage known successes.

o     Works with Marketing and Sales to create bulletins, presentations and other materials to communicate successes & advantages.

o     Ability to develop and deliver presentations and training programs to customers, channel partners and internal Eagle personnel. 

· Provide strong interface on application topics to Field Sales, Inside Sales/Order Management, and Service teams to address any inquiries concerning the range of Eagle inspection technologies.

o     Work closely with Field and Inside Sales, Service, Channel Partners, and End User Customers along with Engineering and Product Management to provide custom solutions and quotations for proposals.

o     Conducts technical review of customer bid specifications including review and response to Mechanical, Electrical, and Software/IT design requirements.

o     When required travel to customer locations to review customer requirements, application parameters, Eagle products, machine installations.

o     Conducts a technical review of custom orders coordinating with members of Sales and Engineering to ensure requirements are accurately communicated.

o     Manages custom projects from initial specification to quote and through order phases supporting the service team as needed during deployment.

o     Works with Field Sales, Inside Sales and-Project Managment to ensure that specific application performance meets customers' requirements.

o     Develop & manage associated testing & trial performance specification requirements tracking results and updating as needed.

o     Interface with Supply Chain Management as required for internally sourced and third party suppliers to ensure accuracy of solutions against specification and cost targets.

o   Assists Mettler Toledo Producing Organization Assembly and Quality personnel as needed on configuration/set-up of special/custom products.

o   Communicates with Engineering and Product Management that application developments are captured and understood for future development programs.

o     Works within the SAP framework and defined work flow processes for execution and implementation.

o     Tracks and monitors KPI's providing regular reports and analysis to Eagle Management.

· Work with Eagle counterparts in the UK and China:

o     Sharing of information, best practices, and establishment of common methods, processes for custom quoting, order management, and documentation.

o     Collaborate with the regional Applications Labs to arrive at common testing, documentation, and logging standards; ensure compliance of the Lutz Application Laboratory activities to those standards.

·         Knowledge of X-ray Inspection and product/package handling.

·         Good communication and presentation skills both written and verbal; comfortable with presenting complex information to individuals or groups in person or remotely.

·         Stong interpersonnel skills and demonstrated experience working with direct reports, internal & external customers.

·         Embraces a hectic, fast paced, changing work environment with a professional attitude.

·         Capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting packages upto 50lb / 22.5 kg.

Minimum Education / Experience Required

·         Bachelors Degree or 6 years of relevant experience.

·         Proficent in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Teams, OneNote).

·         Experience using Engineering design programs (e.g. TeamCenter, Inventor, AutoCad)

·         Experience in Industrial Technical Sales or Sales/Service Support is beneficial.

·         Able to travel and obtain a current/valid passport.
