Software Marketing Manager 80 - 90% (f/m/d)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The global marketing team of the Laboratory Division is in charge of planning, creating and executing worldwide marketing activities in cooperation with our business units and sales organizations. In order to strengthen our Laboratory Division marketing team, we are looking for a business oriented, pro-active and dynamic Segment Expert / Software Marketing Manager.

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • As segment expert, you will be our link to our customers in quality control and R&D laboratories mainly in the chemical and food & beverage industries (60-70%)
  • As a Global Software Marketing Manager, your main task will be to coordinate and manage our laboratory software marketing (20%)
  • You will drive customer intelligence in defining personas, evaluate customer needs and pain points as well as market trends
  • You will prepare trainings and educational material to educate our marketing and sales teams on industry and laboratory software knowledge 
  • Further you will define the customer topics to cover with our marketing activities and support the creation of the marketing plan and provide insights and expertise for the creation of the marketing and sales materials and ensure that it is in line with the customer language
  • Last but not least you will coach the strategic business units through the product launch process and ensure quality and completeness of the launch material

What You Need to Succeed

  • You have a scientific background, preferably successful studies in a field of chemistry or food technology combined with a strong interest and knowledge in marketing topics
  • You have a solid understanding of laboratory processes, applications and instruments as well as in-depth industry know-how, predominantly in chemical and/or food industries
  • You have the ability to understand and express complex concepts in simple words and visuals; good writing skills and creative mindset with an eye for design 
  • Conceptual strength in planning and managing projects as well as a high-degree of self-motivation, quick comprehension and initiative in project work; Ability to manage projects and tasks of high strategic importance on time and under pressure
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken (min. C1). German and other languages desirable but not a must
