Senior Global Strategic Pricing & Analytics Lead

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


Develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies and structures to support the introduction of new products across all divisions and geographic regions, taking into consideration current business and competitive market scenarios.  Lead pricing optimization/harmonization projects to address price variance and inconsistencies with value relationships across product portfolios including the development of pricing signatures where missing and maintenance where present.  Design and work with relational databases, using advanced data mining techniques to analyze big data and generate insights in support of price optimization and new product pricing strategies.  Work with product managers to develop Value Price Maps, identifying possible product portfolio gaps (e.g., new product features and enhancements) and price-to-value misalignment.  Manage global deal desk for strategic deal negotiations, applying understanding of competitive positioning to formulate differentiated value propositions and develop effective pricing/monetization strategies; evaluate all commercial terms within a proposed customer agreement; and create pro forma financial statements to understand business impact.  Support global ERP Pricing Module Implementation.  Introduce new analytics and visualizations that help global senior management gain insight and make decisions by leveraging existing tools and introducing/establishing new technologies to enhance ability to deliver business insights.  Support development of various toolkits to supplement the application and utilization of pricing concepts and ideas, and help the organization actualize profit improvement.  Synthesize and analyze macro-economic data and other relevant commodity price indices to help evaluate/determine global price changes.  Provide guidance and mentorship to new analysts on the team.

What You Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) with a specialty in: Finance, Statistics, Marketing, Strategy, or Economics, plus 3 years of experience which must have involved:  designing and working with relational databases like MS SQL Server and/or MySQL and Microsoft Access applications to manage, analyze and report on large amount of data from multiple sources; using advanced Microsoft Excel functions to systematically identify trends and opportunities within large data sets with multiple dimensions; Project Management including ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects among cross-functional teams; stakeholder management in a matrix environment; detail orientation with ability to work with ambiguity; creating and delivering effective presentations to senior leadership; providing organizational training; using analytical skills with significant quantitative analysis, synthesizing quantitative information and communicating observations, implications and conclusions in a business context with the help of statistical, database and data visualization tools; managing global pricing analytics and transaction analysis using Vendavo (cloud-based BI system): including cost-to-serve, price banding, transaction waterfalls, price realization, win/loss analysis, discount variance, monitoring market prices, discounting controls and customer segmentation; business/financial modeling that enables mining large records of data using Microsoft tools (MS Excel, MS Access, Risk Solver, Macros), performing deep diagnostics using database tools like SQL Server and/or MySQL, and translating business information into models that are predictive of business results to assist in effective decision making; performing Statistical Modelling using Statistical tools (like R, SAS, MATLAB) and Data Visualization tools (like Tableau, Power BI) to create reports/dashboards to deliver enhanced business insights to internal stakeholders; and implementing ERP Pricing module (SAP, CRM).
