Supply Chain Advanced Analytics Specialist

This position will have a global reach by engaging business units independently, or as a member of a project team together with other functions of the Global Supply Chain Management organization. It will offer amazing solutions through analyzing supply chain data using classical business intelligence as well as data science methods. Conclusions will be addressed to business partners and the implementation of according actions supported with the overall goal to increase the transparency and improve the global supply chain performance.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Data Analysis, Computer Science or Supply Chain Management or related field is a requirement
  • Perform complex data engineering and advanced (predictive) analytics tasks 
  • Visualize results in a meaningful manner to ease information retrieval for the user 
  • Monitor, analyze & present operational trends and various supply chain performance to develop & suggest strategies to create efficiencies, improve performance and reduce costs 
  • Partner closely with business teams and stay informed of current process and workflow, to enable the effective analysis of supply chain performance data using various tools 
  • Prepare deliverables and dashboards linked to ad hoc requests 
  • Champion the use of approved analysis and visualizations tools and standards in GSCM 
  • Act as liaison to the Enterprise Reporting and Analytics team, conceptualize, design, and validate reports to meet routine needs. Ensure the data is methodologically and statistically sound and accurate to the cause 
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed

  • Strong analytical / thinking skills are required 
  • Ability and commitment to learn MT data structures, in various source systems 
  • Ability to communicate complex data analysis results to audiences of varying background, using written and verbal methods 
  • Must be able to learn new concepts, and apply with speed and agility 
  • Experience in data engineering / advanced analytics using VBA, Python, and SQL is required 
  • Familiarity with SAP products like ECC, Analytics Cloud, BW/4 is preferred 
  • Experience with the Knime software as well as understanding of the CRISP-DM methodology is a plus
