Quality Control Associate

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

RAININ is currently hiring a Quality Control Associate to join our quality control operations in Oakland, California. In this role, your responsibilities would include: 

Primary Function: Inspects molded, assembled, and packaged materials and components and determines their acceptability based on established requirements.

Available shifts are:
Overnight -- Monday through Friday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
Weekend Days -- Saturday and Sunday 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
Weekend Nights -- Saturday and Sunday 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Responsibilities would include:
  • Performing all required inspections of production and new product development level components utilizing manual and electronic metrology equipment, and recording results accurately within various applications.
  • Performing First Article Inspection reports (FAI’s) and compiling data into the required format. 
  • Performing internal process audits, records findings, and helping develop root cause and corrective actions as needed.
  • Performing established setup of metrology equipment as required; equipment may include CMM's, hand-held measurement equipment, and various electronic optical measurement systems.
  • Maintaining a professional work environment; ability to get along well with team members in multiple departments is essential.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Ability to read and comprehend required documentation, short correspondence, and memos in English is required. 
  • Ability to compose and send email correspondence is required.  
  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees within the organization is also required. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers and decimals. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  
  • Experience with MS Office Suite; MS Excel experience is required.  Experience using various ERP systems is preferred.  SAP experience is a plus.
  • Any formal metrology training is a plus.
