Senior Product Quality Inspector

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

RAININ is currently hiring a Senior Product Quality Inspector to join our technical operations team in Oakland, California. In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • Assists the QE Manager in monitoring and directing activity of other incoming lab associates and Specialists.
  • Redistributes labor as needed to fulfill daily needs.
  • Make usage decision (UD) of incoming materials per quality plans
  • Executes & monitors on FAIs under QE/QE manager's guidance
  • Able to perform at least 2 of the following roles, and strive to learn additional ones:
    • Incoming Inspection
    • Pipette balance testing
    • Administering the company calibrated instrument program.
    • Returns Processing
    • Excel analysis to update department metrics
    • Author/edit work instructions
  • Identify improvement opportunity and executes on chosen initiatives
  • Develops backups and cross training program between incoming & QC labs
  • Observe/audit manufacturing technicians to ensure they are following assembly procedures.
  • Observe /Audit packagers to ensure that they are following procedures as well as making required visual inspections.
  • Participates in internal & external audits to ISO9001 as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

·       A "Can Do" attitude & ability work with diverse team is a must have to succeed in this role.

·       AA in any discipline, High School diploma or equivalent; or combination of education and experience, GD&T Certified.

·       Three to four years’ experience programming using OGP MeasureMind, Zeiss Calypso or similar CMM metrology software to measure highly complex parts with tight tolerances.

·       Prior experience as a lead

·       Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001 environment preferred.

·       Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems - SAP and automating quality inspections processes preferred.
