Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic selection & standardization of components for the assigned assortments:
    • Create and maintain assortment strategy to define preferred components or manufacturers together with the appropriate category manager
    • Acquire market knowledge and predict technical trends in order to pursue innovation for new projects
    • Ensure that preferred or extended components are being utilized in new products (BOM-Check as part of design feedback process)
  • Minimize total cost for the whole organization by considering commercial, operations and technical aspects:
    • Collaboration in R&D Projects and perform concurrent engineering (consulting the R&D teams in technology- and component evaluation/selection)
    • Search for 2nd sources to mitigate risk and reduce switching cost
  • Secure that suppliers for the assigned assortments are able to deliver according to MT quality requirements:
    • Audit supplier form a technical point of view
    • 2nd level Support for electronic production units
    • Coordinate part change notificaitons for all affected units
    • Support sourcing departments in finding alternatives and in approving borker buys.
    • Perform component qualifications
  • Manage the assigned assortment in the system & ensure correctness of the data:
    • Handle NCI’s (New Component Introductions) and make decisions according to the assortment strategy
    • Define the preference level and technical attributes for each component.
  • Travelling: 10%

What You Need to Succeed

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
    • Strong Technical Education
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Good understanding of manufacturing and PLM processes
    • Supply Chain Management experience
    • Excellent Business English
    • Good communicator / presenter
