Field Service Technician- Chicago

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Rainin, a subsidiary of Mettler Toledo, is currently looking for a Field Service Technician in the Chicago area.  In this role you will work, engage and represent Rainin pipettes to our customers in the field.  As our Service Technician, you will test, clean, repair, reassemble and calibrate pipettes to ensure they are conforming to our quality standards and ready for our customers. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Conducting mechanical and electronic measurements, 
  • Inspecting serviced pipettes against established quality and performance parameters.
  • Reassembling and calibrating pipettes to meet manufacturer standards, 
  • Prioritizing orders and expediting them through our system, 
  • Focusing on meeting our service level agreements and turnaround time commitments,
  • Completing all related reports.
  • Travel up to 50% required

What You Need to Succeed

  • A high school diploma or GED with at least three months of related work experience in manufacturing, production, or packaging.
  • Previous knowledge or work experience with pipettes is desirable.
  • A strong mechanical background.
  • A commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time including overnight travel.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
