Electronics Design Engineer

The Electronics Design Engineer position is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in a growing company and have a high degree of autonomy.

The Electronics Design Engineer will work on a mixture of new and existing designs. The ideal Electronic Design Engineer candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision and have a passion for electronics and hardware design. 

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Design mixed signal electronic circuits with high speed and precision data converters 
  • Develop firmware required for digital signal processing in the FPGA
  • Perform system level hardware and firmware evaluation and debag 
  • Overall research into new product development
  • Set out design procedures in the Safeline management system 
  •          Participate in and recommend continuous improvement activities through the involvement of teamwork
  • Liaise with other departments to efficiently and effectively resolve problems
  • Ensure safety, health and environment is inherent in all projects.
  •         Evaluation testing of new designs prior to release for production.
  •         Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and meet the requirements of the design specification

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Degree level in an Electronics related discipline
Minimum 5 years Industry experience in product development and /or electronics research 
Good knowledge of mixed signal and RF design principles 
Experience in high speed, high resolution data converters
FPGA design using VHDL and / or Verilog 
Proven hands-on fault finding capabilities 
Ability to deliver discrete design work packages with minimum supervision
