RPA Developer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As an RPA Developer in DBS, you are responsible for design, development and implementation of Robotic Process Automation. You automate tasks and processes in close collaboration with the business. Based on business needs, you design solutions using UiPath and advanced technologies. After successful implementation and (global) deployment of a new bot, RPA Developers also ensure that their designed process is providing the required results. You will be part of a dynamic, growing global team that values innovation and collaboration, jointly driving automation to the next level in an agile way. Besides the RPA Developer role, you will also be involved in the overall operations and operating model. You will help implementing, improving and maintaining adherence to this model by all stakeholders. Infrastructure/platform management is also a key component, any background in ITIL, server maintenance, AD and scripting (Python, Bash, Powershell) is beneficial. 

RPA Developer:
  • Script and code in UiPath; document solution designs.
  • Ensure quality of coded components by performing end to end unit testing and code reviews.
  • Understand different RPA tool capabilities to solve problems during development and deployment and support.
  • Provide direction and expertise in design, development and system integration.
  • Educate and support RPA Power Users, collaborate closely with Business and DBS stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts related to RPA technology and architecture while closely working with infrastructure team.
  • Help shape and further develop the automation strategy, contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in enhancement of organizational expertise and help advance RPA towards smart solutions utilizing Machine Learning techniques.
Operations:
  • Help in coordination of Process Automation activities to assure effective and efficient delivery of the Program.
  • Assure process compliance with established Process Automation delivery processes.
  • Identify, prioritize and initiative implementation of improvements to the Process Automation Program as part of Continues Service Improvement Process to gradually increase maturity of the Program.
  • Where applicable coordinate delivery of Improvement projects for the program.
  • Maintain UiPath components and server infrastructure.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Background or degree in computer science or other – ideally Masters degree,
  • Min 5 years of experience in IT,
  • Min 2 years in operations and/or development work,
  • Knowledge of:
    • Team and Delivery Management,
    • Working knowledge Project Management methodologies (PMBoK, Prince-2),
    • Basis of IT Service Management methodologies and best practicies,
    • Expertise in programming languages e.g. VBA, C#, .NET, SQL, Python and others,
    • Expertise in scriping languages – Bash, CMD, Powershell,
    • Hands-on experience with UiPath or similar RPA tool,
    • Good knowledge of client/server architecture and various compatibility requirements,
    • Experience in SAP, basic business knowledge,
  • Experience working in agile delivery modes,
  • Proactive problem solver with good planning and organizing abilities,
  • Attention to detail and quality consciousness,
  • Committed team player with can-do, result-oriented attitude,
  • Communication skills, 
  • Fluency in English.
