Service Sales Engineer (Johor)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Key Purpose of the Role:
Secure new customers in MNC/SMI industries by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment and services. Expand market awareness of MT’s products & services and manage projects and relationships with customers.

Strategic Outcome:
Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to articulate service solutions to both the business and technical users and ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing
  • Develop sales & marketing plan and execute the plan to achieve yearly sales target
  • Identify current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements
  • Provide service solution to potential and existing customers

Technical Advisory and Product Advocate
  • Attend to customers' technical and commercial inquiries and provide technical/sales support to ensure customers' satisfaction
  • Communicate service solutions effectively, demonstrating MT’s market leadership and expertise
  • Interact with customers’ engineering teams/lab user to illustrate MT solutions
  • Responsible for representing the service solution to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc
  • Develop customer's staff by providing technical information and training
  • Training/Developing support material for other members of the sales team

Service Standards and Customer Relationship Management
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents
  • Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements
  • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM system

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in a Sales/Service environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach
  • Understanding of sales & distribution with intermediate project management skills
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel

  • Employee management experience and an empowering leadership style
  • First hand understanding of technical equipment and marketing
