2nd/3rd Line Support Specialist for PLM

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

2nd/3rd Line Support Specialist (named also PLM Solution Specialist) is a new function in Product Structure/Bill of Material Product team and is responsible to support the R&D units with the creation and release of production data. He/She contributes to and executes PLM projects with METTLER TOLEDO subsidiaries and drives and manages the following activities: 
  • Support of end-to-end solution from the creation of a Product Structure to the management and release of Engineering and Manufacturing BOMs.
  • Provide tier 2 support (troubleshooting and resolving issues) in close collaboration with the power users (tier 1) in the units.
  • Identify areas for improvement with regards to functionalities, performance, automation, user friendliness and robustness of the solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the global process template, design guidelines and design quality checks, collaborating with Product Owner, Solution Architect and Business Analyst.
  • Maintain the necessary documentation to make the power users self-sufficient (i.e. user manual, process documentation).
  • Maintain and execute test scripts. 
  • Support enhancement and upgrade projects during all phases until delivery to production. 
  • Execute user training for new functionalities and refresh trainings.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Masters or bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent education. 
  • Good knowledge of PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter is a plus). 
  • Experience with change management processes (CMII , ITIL or similar). 
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. 
  • Ability to work independently but also in a team and communication skills. 
  • Accurate way of working and understanding of complex processes and interdependencies, high problem solving ability. 
  • This job sometimes requires working evenings and weekends (once a month). 
  • Openness to travel, when it will be possible.
