Commercial Operations Analyst

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


Provide insight into the business patterns through advanced data analysis to support the global commercial team. Provide the Biotix commercial management team with actionable insights and reporting. Responsible for measurement and distribution of core operational metrics that cover all critically important areas of the commercial business. Be the commercial liaison between the production organization and finance. Take ownership for running the sales commission and bonus programs.  Develop and maintain sales KPIs and dashboards.  Provide accurate data for use in the company CRM.


A.    Sales Analytics

·         Build out capabilities in the areas of sales reporting, analytics, and sales performance measurement tools.

·         Ensure analysis is prioritized, developed based on business/customer requirements, and documented. 

·         Make actionable data available to sales team in a clear and concise format. 

·         Make recommendations related to processes, workflows, or systems requirements that impact the US MO.

·         Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and the ability to convert large volumes of data into actionable information.

B.    Contract and Pricing Control

·         Use analytical and pricing sensitivity analysis to discover actionable insights to help regional teams achieve their pricing objectives.

·         Optimize customer contracted discount levels and product pricing to achieve price realization goals.

·         Ensure contract pricing accuracy and own contract pricing administration.

C.    Operations

·         Work closely with the Head of Commercial Operations and with  cross departmental resources and companywide systems to identify the most effective analysis or process, explore and test solutions and reports, document decisions, and create or update policies and procedures around data management and control.

·         Support inter-departmental projects and company-wide initiatives.

·         Demonstrate technical aptitude, strong relationship building skills, and the ability to understand and pro-actively address needs (both internally and from the customer’s perspective).

·         Translate user requirements, requests and needs into the design and maintenance of CRM, ERP, and sales tools.

·         Leverage variety of data sources for analytics including but not limited to Oracle BI (or similar, Access DB (or similar), CRM (SalesForce is a plus).  

What You Need to Succeed

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or Life Science; 4+ years of experience as an analyst in a Sales/Marketing business environment, or combination of related experience and education. 

·         Advanced Excel, MS Access, Server Reporting Services, relational databases, ERP (SAP). 

  • Experience with large data set, contract and business analysis.
  • Excellent Excel based modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical, report building, documentation, and problem solving skills.
  • Quantitative aptitude with the ability to use basic to intermediate statistical analytical tools.
  • Independent, solution-oriented individual who can excel in analysis. 
  • Experience creating and interpreting relational databases including, a good understanding of database automation concepts.
  • Excellent team player able to work with virtual, multi-cultural, cross functional teams.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
