Software Requirements Engineer (f/m/d)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

In our Analytical Chemistry business unit, we design and produce innovative measuring instruments that have an excellent image and footprint in the market. In order to strengthen the Research and Develop-ment team in our newly built global headquarters close to Zurich, we are looking for a committed, goal-oriented and experienced Software Requirements Engineer.

Your responsibilities: 
  • In this position, you are the driving force in analyzing, structuring and writing software requirements based on worldwide customer feedback and exchange with sales, marketing, service, product man-agement, development teams, as well as your own expertise and hands-on experience
  • You support an international team of experts by moderating the discussions and prioritizing the in-puts 
  • You explore the edges of the arguments as a good and curious moderator
  • You listen to your colleagues and quickly pick up the essence of the requirements and its conse-quences: you are a fast thinker!
  • You clarify the questions regarding product requirements from different development departments with product and program management
  • You strongly contribute to the design, functionality, and success of the future analytical instrument portfolio of Mettler-Toledo GmbH

What You Need to Succeed

  • You have a BSc or MSc of a technical or scientific relevant discipline (Chemistry, Physics, Engineer-ing, Biology, Computer science or comparable)
  • You enjoy spending time in the laboratory environment, not necessarily as a part of your daily work, but at least as a training to become an expert in our devices
  • Experience with the development of software requirements is highly beneficial
  • Fluent language skills in English (C1) and German (C1)
  • You are an independent, structured and a self-organized team player with strong conceptual and an-alytical skills
  • As an empathic and self-confident person, you have excellent communication, listening and moder-ation skills
