Project Leader and Technical Support - Weigh In Motion

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The primary role of the Leader is to direct our project initiatives and organize and support our Weigh In Motion (WIM) service initiatives in the various segments of the WIM Products. This individual will also provide technical support using common WIM support tools to trouble shoot, perform remote triage, and assist local technicians with service calls. Other responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting in project organization, tracking and reporting project progress, managing the resource planning process, and communicating to project stakeholders as required. 
  • Maintain and archive WIM support call logs; monitor and provide 24/7 WIM support 866 line and email alerts. 
  • Use common tools to trouble shoot and support all WIM systems, as well as to manage projects to ensure we have the resources, competency and expertise to deliver to customer requirements at acceptable profit margins. 
  • Providing continuous updates to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion. 
  • Report on quality, cost control and any safety concerns
  • Overnight travel around 50%

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Minimum of Associates in Electrical Engineering, Technology, or construction Management or minimum of 3 years of IT infrastructure and project management experience 
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) indicates a senior level of development within the position; however, it is not required. 
  • Proactive and strong customer orientation 
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Ability to read construction drawings and electrical schematics 
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, internal departments and 3rd party subcontractors and vendor 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
