ABAP Developer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

ABAP Developer acts as a technical solution expert and is responsible for the design and build of Data Governance processes and solutions with Customer, Sales, and Marketing data solutions.This position has a direct impact on the overall ability to achieve high-quality master data within METTLER TOLEDO.

Your role:
  • Design and develop applications using ABAP, SAP MDG, WebDynpro, HANA, and other related technologies.
  • Apply design methodologies and toolsets, complete configuration and program, design, and conduct development tests.
  • Take part in the workshops and other meetings to understand the requirements, the functional and technical scope of requested changes, and the priorities on the business side.
  • Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities, contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development problems across multiple master data management process areas.
  • Provide hyper care support as well as application maintenance support for the users of the systems supported by DG Product Team(s).
  • Present strong ownership of driven changes, support delivery and make sure that change properly goes through its lifecycle.
  • Recommend system solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the SAP MDG and other related standard application offerings vs custom development.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 3 years of SAP ABAP experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in SD/MM or Data Governance.
  • Knowledge of ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP MDG.
  • Structured, detailed working methodology, continuous improvement approach, and process orientation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Preference to work in a Global and fast-moving environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of WebDynpro or FPM would be an additional advantage.
  • HANA and other related technologies are additional advantages.
