Field Service Technician (Maryland Area)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


  • Disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling pipettes and equipment.
  • Performing inspections on units requested for service for component defects and ensuring all repair work meets established quality standards.
  • Completing related paperwork such as work sheets, part usage tallies, and repair estimates.
  • Prioritizing orders and expediting them through our database system, following customers' specific order requests.
  • Contributing in meeting established turn-around-time requirements and standards.
  • Reassembling pipettes and following through on customer instructions relating to orders, such as requests for additional parts.
  • Following testing procedures for pipettes and equipment. 
  • Testing and evaluating pipettes to meet the appropriate standards.
  • Completing related database entries and associated paperwork.
  • Accounting for parts used and direct orders to the next stage in process.
  • Focusing on meeting our service levels and turnaround time commitments which may include overnight traveling within the assigned territory and working overtime as needed.
  • Regularly lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds during each workday.

What You Need to Succeed


•  A high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of work experience in the service industry.

•  Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to disassemble and reassemble small precision  mechanical     instruments.

•  A commitment to company safety policies to keep yourself, your coworkers, and the workplace operating  effectively and safely

•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

•  Previous knowledge or work experience with pipettes. 

•  Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

•  A Valid driver's license with an excellent driving history.
