Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

These are temporary roles that can lead to full time positions. 

Perform various duties to receive, store, ship and transport materials, supplies and products by performing the following duties.

  • Works from verbal instructions, picking slips, shipping documents and prescribed procedures to load and unload materials, operate equipment and maintain orderly inventory stocks.
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles as required to verify receipt of material or parts per receiving documents.
  • Stages materials or parts for inspection or transports to proper storage locations.
  • Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Picks materials/components per parts requisitions, assembles orders, and delivers to appropriate department or personnel. 
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
  • Completes warehouse forms as required to update computer system.
  • Distributes stock to departments and workers as required.
  • Ability to use forklift, pallet jack, hand cart, weigh counter, scales, and bander is required.
  • Operate dock leveler.
  • Operate automated shrink wrap machine.
  • Load and unload truck shipments and deliveries.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Supports ISO 9000 standards and laboratory accreditation programs. 

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment can be  loud.
