Inside Sales Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for inside sales to direct customers and for providing sales support to both the Regional Sales Managers, Manufacturer Reps, Distributors and End-Users for the North American Eagle Product Inspection business. The Inside Sales Representative responsibilities include assisting with the coordination and sale of products to end users from the lead generation and qualification through the quotation phase and to closing the sale with limited Regional Sales Manager and/or Channel Partner involvement. Works with North American Sales and Service Management, Engineering, Applications and Order Entry on project oriented sales and activities associated with the delivery of x-ray systems. 

  • Overall general and application knowledge of product inspection product lines and service offerings and/or experience supporting sales functions in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment. 

  • Knowledge of internal systems applications relating to Product Inspection sales and marketing, including but not limited to SAP CRM and ECC business systems.

  • Responsible for keeping leads and opportunities accurately updated following standardized processes to ensure accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting of sales activities. 

  • Responsible for actively driving revenue by engaging in planned and agreed to direct sales and service activities, including identifying, quoting, and closing business opportunities with assistance from the RSMs (Regional Sales Managers), as needed.

  • Responsible for managing the sales support activities for all Eagle Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) in North America

  • Provides the appropriate level of support to both customers and field sales personnel for product/service inquiries, order review, order status, credit/invoicing issues, equipment returns, and problem resolution. 

  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and MT Operating Policies and procedures specifically related to Sarbanes Oxley controls and compliance with the company’s order validity policy, authority limits, and standard terms and conditions of sale.


What You Need to Succeed

  • The desired education is a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or an Associate’s degree with three to five of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience; or five or more years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing experience. 
  • Prior experience working within a customer service or inside sales operation is desired. 
  • Product Inspection product knowledge and experience working with manufacturers in the Food Industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Candidates must possess the ability to utilize and work within a computerized business data system. 
  • Additional requirements include the ability to multitask in an open work space environment and to maintain a high energy level with strong customer focus.
