4035-EDA Solution Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Support of end-to-end solution from creating designs for our products in our Electronic and Electrical CAD systems (Mentor and EPLAN) until the release of the data in our global PLM System (Teamcenter)
  • Provide tier 2 support (troubleshooting and resolving issues) in close collaboration with the power users (tier 1) in the units
  • Identify areas for improvement with regards to functionalities, performance, automation, user friendliness and robustness of the solutions
  • Contribute to the evolution of the global Electronic/Electrical Design Automation template, design guidelines and design quality checks, collaborating with Product Owner, Solution Architect and Business Analyst.
  • Support with the installation of the ECAD applications incl. the integrations with Teamcenter to the end user clients.
  • Maintain the necessary documentation to make the power users self-sufficient  (i.e. user manual, process documentation).
  • Maintain and execute test scripts.
  • Support enhancement and upgrade projects during all phases until delivery to production.
  • Execute user training for new functionalities and refresh trainings.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Masters or bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent education.
  • Good knowledge of the the following tools.
    o CAD for electronic design (Mentor VX is a plus)
    o CAD for electrical design (EPLAN is a plus)
    o PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter is a plus)
  • Experience with change management processes (CMII , ITIL or similar )
  • Ability to communicate across different teams (i.e., R&D, Operations)
  • Independent, accurate way of working and understanding of complex processes and interdependencies, high problem solving ability.
  • Excellent team player capabilities and communication skills.
  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends.
  • Travel requirements (including intercontinental) up to 20%.
