Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes market research, customer interviews, sales, and service calls to elicit customer requirements for future products.
Defines product capabilities and application boundaries. Creates sales tools to define the product capabilities for field sales and the customer support group.
Determines pricing, product organization, and structure for the product line. Quarterly quote, sales, and margin reporting by product type. Responsible for necessary corrective actions to meet product line financial goals. Maintains the pricing and product definition through various media.
Develops marketing communications media and sales application tools to support and promote the business. Participates in trade shows, sales meetings, and customer visits to communicate the product message.
Prepares marketing specifications and new product development project justifications.
Participates in customer support activities including quote preparations, phone support, customer visits, and application phone support as a back-up to Customer Support. Define pricing or quoting decisions on non-price book special requirements.
Works directly with regional sales managers and Special Systems group on special opportunities and OEM opportunities. Determine which projects offer the greatest leverage of engineering and technical resources.
Acts as a "subject matter expert" in at least two of the following areas: Equipment Safety, Machine Communications, Hygienic Design, Weights and Measures, Pharmaceutical Requirements, Metal Detection, Vision Inspection.
Performs other duties as required to meet project deadlines or satisfy customer requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Sound writing skills, good communication skills.
Strategic thinker and decision maker.
Ability to work with limited structure and direction.
Minimum Education / Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering and 1-3 years of related experience.
Sound product knowledge, experience in the packaging industry.
Sales experience, professional selling training.
