Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
- Securing new business, hitting quotas, increasing sales to existing dealers, finding niche markets and new distributors, and conducting promotions and mailings.
- Traveling throughout assigned territory and/or conducting virtual sales calls using Microsoft Teams technology or the telephone to reach distributors and dealers.
- Conducting distributor training sessions and sales meetings to ensure that distributors are adequately prepared to actively market and sell our products
- Demonstrating the product line emphasizing unique selling points to engage dealers.
- Quoting prices and credit terms and preparing sales contracts.
- Submitting required activity reports and documentation of sales performance.
- Working closely with a team of inside sales representatives and customer service representatives.
- Representing the territory and sharing marketplace information such as distributor and/or product problems, changes in dealer organization structure, market perception, competitive products, and market fluctuations.
- Ability to manage large National Account(s) and over time potentially take on additional Sales Management responsibilities.
What You Need to Succeed
- The ability to travel about 50% of the time including occasional weekends (once trade shows resume)
- A bachelor's degree is desired. A degree in one of the life sciences areas is a plus (especially biology or chemistry)
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a DMV check
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in a Contact Management Software preferred (SAP)
- Experience selling to distributors or dealers (indirect sales) is a plus
- Experience in calibration services, weighing or lab equipment, or a similar industry is also a plus
