Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As a SAP Developer you can have the opportunity to design and develop applications as per Mettler-Toledo (MT) internal business requirements and provide end-to-end service and project delivery across all our MT Delivery Center engagements using rapid development principles such as Agile to make software faster, flexible and stable.

Your responsibilities: 
  • Analyze, evaluate and implement custom developments in the area of SAP (mainly ECC) according to the specifications and the ABAP Development processes and standards and deliver on time. Write technical designs and execute unit tests. 
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Develop new ABAP solutions (CDS views\AMDP) to further enhance\optimize on top of HANA DB.
  • Deliver custom developments both for projects and support in a challenging international environment (incl. multi-time zone coverage).
  • Ensure adherence to our development operating model and guidelines as well as best practices (code quality, performance optimization, Documentation Quality).
  • Provides support to functional teams during FD Design, SIT/UAT Tests and Defect resolution.
  • Be a strong partner for the your counterparts in the functional teams in order to implement the business needs.
  • Provide status updates to Team Lead and respective Stakeholders; Timely escalation of issues to avoid delivery delay.

What You Need to Succeed

  • More than 2 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
  • Experience with complex implementation and support projects, at least two international full-cycle implementation projects. 
  • Strong knowledge on:
    • ABAP Object Oriented concepts, 
    • WORKFLOW, 
    • SAP Enhancement concepts, 
    • BADIs, 
    • User-Exits, 
    • Interfacing technologies (ALE IDoc and Non-ALE, Proxy's), 
    • RFC 
  • Knowledge on HANA (ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP). 
  • Good knowledge in HANA native SQL and ABAP 7.5) is plus.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging skills and problem solving skills. 
  • Understanding on Agile development process.
  • Experience of working in multinational, multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and communicative team player with a critical, yet result-oriented and willingness to learn.
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken).
