Safety Compliance Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Compliance Services Team is responsible for providing guidance and support related to all aspects of product compliance for the MTMS and AM-HUB. The Safety Compliance Leader focuses primarily on product safety, machinery safety, and hazardous location safety. This person is expected to become the local Subject Matter Expert in the area of product safety and be responsible for managing third party approvals. 

Other Responsibilities: 
  • Champion product safety compliance at the MTMS and AM-HUB facilities. 
  • Actively work with Engineering, Marketing, Procurement and Production to ensure product safety obligations are identified early in the design cycle and carried out through the lifecycle of the product. 
  • Be the point of contact with third party approval agencies during all phases of the product evaluation process; providing appropriate two-way communication between all stakeholders. 
  • Participate in product and process audits to ensure continued product safety and compliance levels.
  • Coordinate and lead all external third party agency audits related to product safety and hazardous location for the AM-HUB. 
  • Provide support and guidance to all Mettler Toledo facilities as needed.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is required. 
  • Three or more years of technical project management experience. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven effectiveness in small and large team environments. 
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical design.
