Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

In addition to maintaining your own sales territory (sales targets, pipelines and customers), provides tactical support for the Newton, MA Telesales team and additional reps as assigned. Duties include assisting reps with problem resolution, weekly call-ins, training/skill development (phone presence, active listening, role plays, etc.), opportunity targeting/tracking and joint field visits. Primary duties also include developing a comprehensive plan to ensure broad penetration of accounts with RAININ solutions, understanding customer requirements from both a business and technical perspective.

Responsibilities: include:

•Maintain own sales territory (sales targets, pipelines, and customers).

•Maintain focus on opportunity pipelines for assigned reps to assure constant flow of orders.

•Develop and maintain consistent forecasting accuracy. Provide insight into training and standards to improve Telesales growth and effectiveness.

•Contribute to development of marketing and sales strategies to expand growing national business. Successfully assess trends, problems and revenue opportunities

•Training and development of assigned Telesales personnel. Determining individual training requirements and supervising the training of all new and existing team members. Developing training manuals and programs to enhance skill base.

•Ensuring all sales and customer issues are addressed and responded to in a timely and professional manner. Investigates and resolves customer problems and/or complaints ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

•Collaborate with field sales reps to develop synergies that improve growth opportunities for Telesales. Collaborate with marketing, service, customer service and management to execute strategy through assigned territories. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate successfully with all company employees.

•Assist with sales communication to client/prospect base in assigned territories, i.e. templates for personalized mails, product guides, bulk mails, pitches, special quotes.

•Set example in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills, performance, sales skills, work habits and daily routine.

•Ensure team is articulating the Mettler-Toledo RAININ value proposition consistently in all customer interactions.

•Occasional travel to conventions and customer meetings.

•Total travel including coverage of their own sales territory and supervision of others is approx. 30%.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum B.S. Life Science (M.S., Ph.D. a plus) and 3-5 years sales experience.
Minimum of 2 years as a Senior Sales Representative mentoring and training other team members.
Strong sales drive. Proven ability to sell and consistently exceed sales quotas.
Leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach. Coaching, mentoring and team-building skills and a passion to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Technical competency in product knowledge, product application and product positioning. Strong understanding of the consultative sales approach.
Demonstrated attention to detail including excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Decision making: Ability to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and make decisions.
Good time management skills in implementing and executing successful plans of action that balance your sales activities with customer needs and account development.
