Process Analytics is a division within METTLER TOLEDO that produces analytical measurement solutions for industrial manufacturing processes. This division has over 60 years of experience as a leader in the industry of liquid process analytics and ultrapure water analytics. We are a worldwide leader in pH, dissolved and gaseous oxygen, dissolved CO2, conductivity, and turbidity solutions for process analytical measurement systems in the chemical, food & beverage, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. Our core competence is high quality inline measurement of these parameters in demanding chemical process and hygienic and sterile applications.

As the Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Mettler-Toledo Process Analytics (PRO) you report to the National Sales Manager-PI Markets. 
  • This position involves explaining highly technical information to customers, focusing on revealing how a product, application and our solutions 
  • can solve specific problems. 
  • This position is responsible for exceeding regional targets in the process industries and hygienic market segments (Chemical, Refining, Power, Pulp & Paper, BioPharm, F&B, purified water, and Microelectronics) through excellent value selling, product, and application technical knowledge and business development. 
  • You ensure your territory exceeds targets and business objectives through sales efforts. Overnight travel is required. The amount of overnight travel is dependent upon where the employee resides as related to the MI Lower Peninsula.

Key responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing a strategic territory plan to include the methodology needed to achieve sales growth including all sales and related activities, i.e. lead generation, cold calling, nurturing, product demonstrations, sales calls, organizing and presenting technical seminars, application feasibility tests, perform demonstrations for products and coordinating customer support.
  • Achieving technical and application proficiency with all METTLER TOLEDO Process Analytics products, value positioning, competitors, and core applications
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitive activity/reconnaissance, and other information that may be of value for corporate goal attainment. 

What You Need to Succeed

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with gas or liquid analytical instrumentation and/or other related 
  • industry experience
  • Intimate knowledge of chemical or hygienic accounts is a plus
  • Self-motivated with ability to set targets and achieve objectives with minimum 
  • supervision.
  • Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills.
  • Versed in concept validation and market research methods such as voice of customer.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer relationships and understand customer needs.
  • Proficient in presentation execution, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel overnight.
