Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Achieve business objectives for Local and Global selected target accounts 
  • Develop thorough understanding of target KA using relevant tool (e.g. KA Mapping, KA Profile Overview, KA Scorecard, and Penetration Plan) 
  • Understanding of competitive activities at KA
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with selected target accounts providing a focal point of contact between KA and local organization
  • Establishing good, long-term business relationships with key decision-makers on a technical and commercial level (network)
  • Create and execute business development plans for target accounts
  • Provides support for sales teams
  • Actively participate in all local P&F selection for assigned KA 
  • Coordinate cross-div activities (seminars/webinars, site assessments, on-site training…)
  • Maintain close liaison with divisional BAMs, sales teams, and internal support functions to ensure effective implementation of account plans
  • Where required, take the lead in the development and negotiation of contractual agreements with target accounts (local, regional or global)
  • Ensure local execution of local and global agreements (e.g. applied discounts, price increase communication…)
  • Ensure the competitive and normative watch of the industrial environment concerned
  • Responsibility  for promoting our eCommerce offering e.g. punch-out catalogues
  • Coordinate global activities for selected KA 
  • Develop strong customer segment knowledge (e.g. Pharma, Chemical…)
  • Develop strong knowledge of our Product / solution portfolio for all divisions
  • Regular reporting/monitoring of customer activities

What You Need to Succeed

  • Degree in the natural sciences, engineering or economics or a comparable field of study
  • Good experience in key account management
  • Strategic and analytical capabilities
  • A high degree of initiative, commitment and independence
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (business fluent)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Capacity to work and interact within a global environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in IT tools (Microsoft Office) and internal tools (CRM, SAP…)
