Service Contracts Sales Specialist

Role/Purpose:
The Telesales Specialist is primarily responsible for: Selling service contracts via outbound call campaigns as well nurturing incoming leads for new contract inquiries that are generated by other teams. Executing targeted and planned ibase marketing campaigns, prospecting, and nurturing new contract sales leads by utilizing the telephone, e-mail, internet, and other available technologies. Offering straightforward consultation, support, and solutions to prospective customers. Managing all opportunities, master data, and contract sales pipeline in appropriate business operating system. Working closely with the applicable Field Operations and Field Service Sales teams to confirm site specific requirements and gathering asset information when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver World Class Customer service with a focus on increasing customer retention rate and providing outstanding customer support
  • Meet and exceed agreed upon objectives including but not limited to sales revenue, productivity, and quote conversion rate
  • In-depth knowledge of all internal applications related to service sales and marketing, including but not limited to SAP CRM
  • Proactively employing professional selling skills in the pursuit of new service business, and accurately managing and recording data generated from these efforts. Manage incoming calls from customers related to our service solutions and activity follow-ups. Execute and track outbound activities on assigned campaign lists with a purpose of new service revenue growth.
  • Provide complete solutions and collaborate with the field, when necessary, for service inquiries; includes recommending the appropriate services to meet the customer’s specifications, preparing formal quotations, and following up accordingly with the goal of closing the transactional sale.
  • Qualify Service Sales leads by assessing need, budget, and buying authority. Obtain basic qualifying information including (but not limited to) timeframe for purchase, decision maker(s), budget, influencing factors, and next step in the sales process.
  • Effective nurturing of leads; building relationships by conducting ongoing, informative dialog that helps qualified prospects who are not yet sales ready. Move each lead to the next step in the sales cycle at the appropriate time and ultimately close the sale for a new service contract.
  • Execute effective pipeline management on all opportunities by demonstrating consistent follow-up and timely closure based on customer feedback. Provide a high-quality customer experience throughout the duration of the sales cycle, from initial interest to receipt of form of payment.
  • Work in coordination with field sales representatives as well as any service support team within the organization to obtain problem resolution and resolve customer issues as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, efficient, detail-oriented and customer focused
  • Exceptional math, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of pricing techniques and strategies for determining field service labor, material and travel costs
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and make sound judgments on service contract risk
  • Ability to analyze websites to assess potential leads and customer product knowledge
  • Must be able to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must be able to communicate with management on processes or customer issues
  • Must communicate both verbally and in writing throughout the organization in a clear and concise way to ensure that customers' expectations are understood
  • Experience with computerized office systems and software (i.e., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, internet)
  • Experience in SAP or another ERP software system and SalesLogix helpful
Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred with two to three years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience
  • Outbound call center experience and telesales skills training are required
  • Qualified candidate should be competitive and have the desire to excel in a fast-paced sales environment and the ability to connect with various personality types
  • Product Inspection product knowledge is a plus
  • Familiar with field service practices and procedures, having worked in a field service environment previously
