Application Specialist (IND)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

1. Training & Application Support:
  • Liaising with current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements.
  • Provide and present product & technical information to potential and existing customers.
  • Provide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team. Becoming a competent key technical advisor and product advocate for MT products and solutions.
  • Communicate regulatory compliance requirement and applications effectively, demonstrating MT’s market leadership and expertise in the relevant fields
  • Interact with customers’ engineering teams to illustrate MT valued propositions and integration regardless new or existing system. 
  • Offer assistance for representing the products to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc if required by sales team.
  • Develop customer personals by providing technical information, drawings, product seminars etc.
  • Present technical proposals with Sales Team to secure a win-win agreement with customers with best solution possible.
  • Technical pre/post sales application support for range of solutions and work with sales and service team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Project Management in collaboration with vendors, internal customers and end customers.
  • POC for all technical matters.
  • Source and upkeep quality of localized vendors and ownership of shared solution knowledge base.
  • Own and maintain Demo assets.
2. Application Standards and Customer Relationship Management:
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents and specification.
  • Gain customer's acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements in the production process.
  • Customer engagement through educational programs.

What You Need to Succeed

Mandatory:
  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline preferably in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering or related field
  • Good general principles of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology knowledge
  • Knowledge on field instrumentation, manufacturing process flow and control will be added advantage
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and influencing ability
  • Valid driving license
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia region as and when required
Preferred:
  • First hand understanding of chemical & pharma processes,  and seminar/marketing support
  • Knowledge in water analytics processes across different industries
