Electrical/Electronic Design Solution Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Within the functional area, you are going to be part of the Electronic/Electrical Design Automation Product Team and you are responsible to support the R&D units with the creation and release of design data. You contribute to and execute PLM projects with METTLER TOLEDO subsidiaries and drive and manage the activities described below.

Electrical/Electronic Design Solution Specialist (f/m/d)


In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • Provide tier 2 support (troubleshooting and resolving issues) in close collaboration with the power users (tier 1) in the units in the area of Electronic/Electrical Design Automation
  • Identify areas for improvement with regards to functionalities, performance, automation, user friendliness and robustness of the solutions 
  • Contribute to the evolution of the global process template, design guidelines and design quality checks, collaborating with Product Owner, Solution Architect and Business Analyst
  • Maintain the necessary documentation to make the power users self-sufficient (i.e., user manual, process documentation) and execute test scripts
  • Support enhancement and upgrade projects during all phases until delivery to production
  • Execute user training for new functionalities and refresh trainings

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • You have a higher education in engineering or equivalent
  • You already have some experience with change management processes (CMII , ITIL or similar)
  • You bring good knowledge of the following applications
    • Electronic CAD (Mentor VX is a plus)
    • Electrical CAD (EPLAN is a plus)
    • CAD Integration with PLM system
    • DFM/DFA/DFT analysis tools (Valor NPI is a plus)
    • PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter is a plus)
  • You are an excellent team player with an independent, accurate way of working and understanding of complex processes and interdependencies with a high problem-solving ability
  • You possess very good written and spoken English and German skills with the ability to communicate across different teams
  • Readiness to travel globally up to approx. 10%
