Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Procurement strategy development and implementation in close collaboration with a sourcing engineer and key stakeholders
  • Supplier evaluation and selection, strategic supplier management
    • Audits
    • Performance reviews
    • Negotiations
    • Contracts
  • Continuously improving the quality of supply chain by means of proactive exercise of influence and monitoring
  • Designing of target cost reduction projects while simultaneously guaranteeing quality assurance and security of supply, as well as proportional contractual risks 
  • Coordinating multi-unit, cross-functional global projects and supporting of both regional and global implementations
  • Identification and implementation of savings opportunities by transferring and applying best practices
  • Implementing standardized sourcing processes across the regions
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed

  • Master degree in business, economics or related fields
  • Experience in category management, supply chain management, consulting, key account management or related field
  • Experience in working within a global, cross-functional, and multicultural environment
  • Strong negotiator with proven project management skills
  • Open-minded and engaged personality with an independent working method and proactive communication skills
  • Solid financial acumen and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient user of MS Office, SAP and IT savvy in general
  • Ability to communicate ideas and push them through without having the authority to give directives
  • Ability to effectively present information and react to questions and requests from all levels of an organization
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills are required. German and Chinese language skills are a plus
