Manager - Software Development

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Electronics or equivalent
  • 14 to 16 years of relevant experience 
  • 2+ years of experience in playing Engineering or Software Development Manager role
  • 5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • Prior experience in leading a team of Scrum Masters or project leads.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum, Agile principles, and coaching.
  • Experience in project planning, estimation, monitoring, and controlling project scope, quality, cost, and schedule. 
  • Sound knowledge of developing risk management plans for projects or portfolios. 
  • Strong knowledge of project quality management practices and tools. 
  • An expert problem solver who can manage difficult situations. 
  • Ability to direct projects and/or peoples and resolve conflicts.
  • Good communicator who translates vision and mission of the organization for their team.
  • Ability to work well in an international context with technical or management background.
  • Good understand about Automation & DevOps practices and tools

What You Need to Succeed

  • Prioritizes work across projects and people.
  • Reviews feature requests with key stakeholders and work with the team to ensure successful feature delivery. 
  • Measures project(s) performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Lead the Technical sprint planning exercise to help team identify, prioritize, and estimate user stories and discovery features
  • Strong people management and leadership skills. Oversees engineering staff and ensure that they meet deadlines and deliver high quality work.
  • Works closely with multiple stakeholders including Business Owners, Product Owners, Development Teams, and Management teams to derive requirements and decisions to enable successful product delivery. 
  • Enables team learning and continuous improvement utilizing Lean management and agile principles.
  • Lead and mentor team through complex customer implementations, address production problems and develop productivity enabling tools.
  • Implement best practices and solutions for the overall improvement of the project. 
  • Accountable for managing all aspects of risk, issues, and contingency.
  • Work with teams to improve automation of development and deployment tasks
  • Emphasize engineering best practices, delivering value, and data driven decision making
