Test Engineer Embedded Linux

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Our business unit Load Cells & Platforms (LCPF) develops loadcells and sensors as well as hardware and software platforms for the entire global METTLER TOLEDO Group. For our operational global headquarters in Nänikon/Greifensee, we are looking for a person to join our Research & Development (R&D) department in the 'Software Open Systems' team as a Test Engineer Embedded Linux 80 - 100% (all genders).

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • You will further expand / develop our CI/CD Pipeline Setup 
  • You build up automated integration tests on different HW Platforms
  • You define and supervise the further development of unit tests
  • You work with local and remote colleagues and teams to establish our unit and integration testing and continuously add new test functionalities
  • You ensure a high quality and coverage of tests and implement regression testing
  • You conduct the CVE Scanning and create test reports
  • You are the quality responsible of our embedded Software platform
  • You are also responsible for our build and test infrastructure (HW and SW)

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • You have several years of relevant work experience, ideally in a similar high-tech industrial environment  
  • You have solid knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines and Test Automation
  • You are familiar with creating dashboards and tailored reporting
  • You gained experience with Clusters e.g Kubernetes and Containers e.g Docker
  • You are comfortable with scripting languages like Python or Shell
  • Ideally, you have additional experiences as Linux Admin, or within the Debian distribution (package building, apt repository maintenance), or in CVE analysis
  • You have an open and communicative personality and enjoy working in a well-established team
  • You quickly acquire knowledge and possess the ability to present information appropriate to different audiences  
  • Advanced English and good German skills are required for this role
