Outbound Logistics Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for all import and export operations, domestically and internationally. This position will provide support cross-departmentally on all shipping, regulatory and compliance matters. 
  • Administers and maintains export program control procedures to ensure compliance with country laws and regulations.
  • Utilizes logistics strategies to assist with the negotiation in reducing shipping costs with dedicated carriers, when applicable.
  • Reviews contract plans and compile pertinent information in spreadsheet. Maintain spreadsheet to be used as a tool in understanding varying carrier contracts.
  • Reviews logistics metrics and report findings to Warehouse Manager.
  • Responsible for handling details of scheduling, products, or equipment related to logistics, depending on the brand.
  • Provides technical expertise to assist with the developing of plans.
  • Shares expert knowledge in logistics matters to prevent operation issues.
  • Partners with internal teams as well as external vendors to support end customer satisfaction.
  • Provides operational support and coordinates technical assistance, when needed.
  • Writes summaries of events to create potential logistics support projects and shares findings with Warehouse Manager.

What You Need to Succeed

  • High School degree or GED required
  • Associate's Degree in Logistics or Operations, preferred
  • 7+ years Logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with working with vendors
  • Highly proficient in reporting and Excel
