Inside Sales Specialist - Laboratory

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Knowledge and Business Management Functions: 

  • Develop a high level of technical expertise in the Laboratory business area’s product lines and service offerings. Understand and be able to communicate the solutions we offer that best meets the customer's needs. 
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas assigned for business. 
  • In-depth knowledge of all internal applications related to lab sales and marketing, including but not limited to the CRM and ERP. 
  • Executing outbound telesales campaigns, employing professional selling skills in their pursuit, and accurately managing and recording data generated from these efforts. 
  • Manage incoming calls from customers who have inquiries in regards to service information or quotes that were given
  • Follow up of sales leads for sales opportunities; cross selling opportunities, or opportunities that are assigned to outside sales for consultation on higher end solutions. 
  • Qualify Sales leads by assessing needs, budget, and buying authority. Obtain basic qualifying information including (but not limited to) time frame for purchase, decision maker(s), budget, influencing factors, and next step in the sales process. 
  • Effective nurturing of leads; building relationships by conducting ongoing, informative dialog that helps qualified prospects who are not yet sales-ready. Move each lead to the next step in the sales cycle at the appropriate time and ultimately close the sale for product and/or service. 
Analytical and Support Functions: 

  • Assist manager and senior management by providing bi-weekly updates about recurring business issues that require a proactive approach, or trends that suggest alternate sales offers or approaches, through participation in a bi-weekly team meeting. 
  • Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our CRM, sales, and service databases at every practical opportunity. 
  • Accurately and quickly promote/quote products, services, and solutions to assigned territory.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required, degree in Chemistry or related sciences preferred, qualified candidate should be competitive and have the desire to excel in a fast paced sales environment 
  • Two to three years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience is a plus
  • Ability to connect with various personality types  
  • Inbound or outbound call center experience, and teleselling skills training, are desirable. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work both independently, and in a team environment, are required.
  • Additional requirements include the ability to multitask in an open work space environment and to maintain a high energy level with strong customer focus.
