Mold Service Technician - Dayshift

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Maintains production molds utilized to produce pipettes and pipette related products.

Department: Molding

Reporting Relationship: Supervisor Molding Service

Essential duties and responslbllltlea Include the followlng.

 Performs regularly scheduled mold maintenance actlvlties on current production molds. Activities include; scheduled routine mold malntenance, mold reconfigurations and inspectlon and or replacement of defeMive and worn mold components.

*     Adheres to and proactively supports departmental processes and procedures when performing such mold service activities to achieve production schedules.

*     Documents mold maintenance activities and consumption of newly Installed mold components during mold services In departmental databases.

*     Performs and monitors Inventories and Inventory counts for spare mold components for existing production molds.

*     Works cooperatively throughout the Molding Department to resolve complex mold Issues to meet overall production requirements.

*     Adheres to and supports all companywide safety process and procedures.

Qualifications:

*     Language Skills — Ability to read and comprehend slmple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ablllty to effectively present information in and small group situations to other employees.

*     Mathematical Skills — Ability to add, subtract, multlplÿ, and divide In all unlts of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and. decimals. Baslc understanding of Machlnlng and tooling Geometry mathematics is a plus but not requlred.

*     Reasoning Ablllty — Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out Instructions furnished in wrltten, oral, or diagram form. Ablllty to deal with problems Involving several concrete variables in situations.

*     Computer Skills — Knowledge of databases and spreadsheet software such as Excel and basic understandlng of Microsoft Office applications.

*     Other Quallflcatlons — Basic  of Techniæl Drawlngs such as blueprints, 2D specifications and or assembly drawings. Strong understanding of the proper utilization of Dimensional Measuring devices such as various manual or dlgltal Micrometers and/or Calipers


What You Need to Succeed

Education and or Experience:

Completion of formalized tralning on the safe operation of machlnlng equipment, plus 4 years of related experience in manufacturing, maintalnlng and/or repairing molds for the lnJection molding industry; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Degree not required.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Spectflc vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vison, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ablllty to adjust focus.
