CNC Machine Programming Operator

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


The CNC Machine Programming Operator will be responsible for the programming and operation of various CNC production equipment. Including but not limited to Mills, Lathes, Mazak Laser and AXYZ Router. This person will have to be skilled in the process of layouts and a basic knowledge metals, plastics and forming.  This requires attention to detail. Ensuring that lean process are being followed to increase production and reduce waste, improve housekeeping and improve productivity. 

Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm (8hrs x 5 days)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to follow direction 
  • Ability to train and be cross trained
  • Knowledge of Press Brake
  • Ability to use company CNC Software Programs 
  • Ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled 
  • Deliver finished parts to the correct staging location 
  • Ability to safely load and unload material 
  • Receive material in and deliver to proper location
  • Deburr parts and help ensure quality is being met 
  • Operate machines while programming and uploading programs
  • Following the Priority Schedule
  • Perform inspection checks on processed parts
  • Perform diagnostic checks and maintenance of machinery
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use AutoCAD, Autodesk, Inventor, Smart system, MasterCam, and V Carve
  • Cross Train in all areas requiring CNC Programming
  • Ability to ensure the correct jobs are being processed 
  • Ability to load and unload the machine with various types of material
  • Ability to follow direction and ensure priorities are being met 
  • Help reduce waste
  • Proficient blueprint knowledge
  • Attention to tolerances and interpretation
  • Perform Daily, Weekly, and scheduled and unscheduled TPM and Vendor required maintenance.
  • Ability to safely deburr parts
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions 
  • MRP/SAP System experience
  • Lean Process experience

Minimum Education / Experience Required:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Trade school or apprentice program
