Product Inspection - Sales Engineer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer is responsible for working with Sales Representatives in the field on OLCs, technical quotes, product specification, order management, change orders, upgrades and inquiries. Familiarize established accounts with new products (and services) and developments. Coordinate and assist with production organization in determining customers' needs. Prepare documents such as price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations. 

Main Responsibilities: 
  • Provide quote, change order and upgrade support and answer any inquiries on metal detection, x-Ray, Check weighing and Vision equipment. 
  • Ensures guaranteed specs are achievable when listed on quotation 
  • Work with technical applications and Engineering teams on specs for equipment 
  • Identify price discrepancies. • Follow-up on orders and ship dates 
  • Manage incoming demand such as phone calls, emails, service or mt.com requests with quality, a sense of urgency & follow up 
  • Work in coordination with field sales representatives, customer service, tech support and contract departments to resolve problems and customer issues. 
  • Responsible for managing the support and admin activities for an assigned group of Field Sales Organization and end-users by providing the appropriate level of support for product and/or service inquiries, order review, order status, credit/invoicing issues, equipment returns, and problem resolution. 
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of metal detection, Check weight equipment, X-Ray, Track and Trace equipment 
  • Detail orientated 
  • Team orientated 
  • Sales background 
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) 
  • 3 year's experience
