Applications Engineering Intern (Part-Time)

Under general supervision, is responsible for performing various activities in support of the EAGLE application lab functions of the organization. The Applications Engineering Intern is a position within the EAGLE Product Inspection group focused primarily on the implementation, execution, documentation, and maintenance of the various test requirements and processes which are routinely requested and completed within the EAGLE Applications Lab. In addition the position assists others in the Applications group in the development of quotations, sales presentations, and training programs.


Under supervision, will be responsible for supporting the EAGLE application lab center in preparation of quotations, sales presentations, training programs, and test reports for customers and channel partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and execute product tests which are requested by customers, EAGLE Sales, Service and Engineering.

  • Record, interpret, and document test results ensuring they are logged appropriately in the Applications Test Library and imported into the appropriate company databases.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of test samples and equipment for test requests, customer visits, and Factory Acceptance Tests.

  • Maintenance of test product storage area including logging and tracking test product as it is received, held, and disposed of.

  • Maintain the Online Applications Test Calendar and Online Test Log keeping it accurate and up to date posting it on a daily basis onto the company's Applications SharePoint site.

  • Assist with the 5S maintenance of the Applications Lab.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as prioritizing work as necessary.
  • Attention to detail, good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels in the organization, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
  • Able to work under and around machinery in a factory floor environment including standing for extended periods of time.

Minimum Education / Experience Required:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 48 hours of coursework completed
