Supplier Diversity & Compliance Specialist

The Supplier Diversity & Compliance Specialist will play a key role in operationalizing key processes and activities related to RAININ's Supplier Diversity & Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) initiatives, including government subcontracting compliance. This person will lead in identifying diverse supplier networks and ensure that they are included in procurement solicitations and conduct compliance monitoring to ensure program objectives are met. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, customer focused professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with various stakeholders. The Supplier Diversity & Compliance Specialist will lead and support the management and reporting of milestones, benchmarks and other best practices across RAININ as they relate to supplier diversity & government subcontract compliance.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in operationalizing supplier diversity initiatives, key processes, activities and compliance as they relate to RAININ's government subcontracting plan.
  • Leads in identifying diverse supplier networks and ensure that they are included in procurement solicitations.
  • Solicit, track and analyze compliance information, commitments and buyer participation to ensure RAININ's objectives are met and data is accurately reflected in tracking systems and databases.
  • Leads with drafting Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and other procurement and contract materials to ensure appropriate SDB provisions and other relevant requirements are included and documented accurately.
  • Leads and support the management and reporting of benchmarks and other best practices across RAININ, and with preparing supplier diversity responses to internal and external requests for information and disclosures.
  • Guides development of learning and communication strategies to support SDB awareness and engagement in Procurement and other levels of the Authority.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of Supplier Diversity experience in a private, public or government
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with concentration Business Administration, Government, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sustainability and/or Supplier Diversity work
  • Knowledge of the sourcing and procurement process and have experience with supplier relationship management activities
  • Demonstrated understanding of the elements and dynamics of organizational change. Experience leading or participating in significant organizational change
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively across business levels and proven expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion program development and management experience at leading meetings
  • Organizational and analytical skills to plan, prioritize, evaluate and solve highly complex and other problems and challenges quickly and accurately in an environment with multiple and shifting priorities
  • Candidate must have ability to work independently and to prioritize work assignments
  • Experience building strong relationships with internal business partners and working with multiple business partners in a collaborative and team oriented manner
  • Work effectively with a diverse workforce as well as diverse suppliers


PREFERENCES INCLUDE:

·        7-10 Years’ experience Supplier Diversity experience in a private, public, government

  • Knowledge and familiarity of government subcontracting reporting requirements
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of the sourcing process and experience with supplier relationship management activities
