Pharma Software Sales Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Software Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting advanced MT solutions to defined accounts within defined market segments. The role generates leads for other METTLER TOLEDO business areas and leverages relationships to expand business opportunities for our entire organization. Requires having an extraordinary in depth understanding of workflows and their impact on customer key challenges around productivity, throughput, quality and cost. It requires being capable of assembling and communicating in depth solution orientated proposals, encompassing all aspects of advanced solutions including return on investment, life cycle management, and customer impact assessments. Requires utilizing primarily consultative selling techniques to achieve goals and is accustom to larger more project based sales cycles. Requires being organized and maintaining established planning, administrative, and reporting through existing CRM and other systems. Demonstrates strong proficiency in oral and written presentation. Overall, the role ensures increased partnership, revenue and profitability for the Company through effective sales activities. 

Territory Description: All of Canada with focus on Ontario and Quebec 

Focus Area: Software Sales with Focus on LabX, iCare, STARe, Software Care and upgrades. Advanced Instrument Specialists is solely focused on the Softwrare sales in the ANA, LabTec, Autochem and MatChar business areas. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works to meet annual targets by actively participating in account selection process and identifying key accounts while utilizing a variety of key account strategies. 
  • Seeks partnerships with segment specific work groups or associations assuring preferred or equal access for all Mettler Toledo products 
  • Initiates and participates with on-site customer value shows or presentations 
  • Conducts on-site seminars on topics related to segment specific Good Practices (GxP) 
  • Promotes product to key accounts through direct sales and product detailing 
  • Utilizes sales program introductory and discretionary quotes effectively 
  • Works with marketing to create account specific micro-marketing pieces to support sales 
  • Actively seeks electronic commerce and paperless procurement solutions for key accounts 
  • Prospects new opportunities through cold-calling and penetrating new segments/accounts 
  • Seeks out "New Start Up's" and actively pursues purchasing agreement across our portfolio.

What You Need to Succeed

BSc degree in technical discipline(Chemistry is preferred), along with competency in computer science/software , or , combination of education and experience.
Experience with ERP and of CRM systems, SAP preferred, along with proficiency with Microsoft Office.3 years sales experience .
