Technical Assembler

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Our assemblers in the producing organization work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, product manuals, work sheets, work orders and verbal instructions. As our assembler you perform a variety of operations associated with assembly, testing, packaging, and shipping various products. You are an essential piece of our quality process. In the role you will:
  • Assemble materials using support tools such as production orders and blue prints.
  • Enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to all hazardous material shipping guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to production orders, data collection, and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) sheets.
  • Maintain all assembly equipment used in the department.
  • Accurately maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
  • Assist in identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives.
  • Safely operate fork trucks and cranes.

What You Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma with excellent math and reading/writing ability
  • Product assembly experience
  • Experience with basic hand tools; powered and non-powered
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematics
  • Preferred: experience operating fork trucks and overhead cranes
  • Required: the ability to be certified
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with related noise, electronic machinery, moving mechanical parts, etc.
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
