Logistics and Warehouse Associate

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that inbound/outbound freight is processed efficiently to maximize product service levels and providing exceptional customer service by assisting internal and external customers as needed. Duties will include assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment, maintaining the warehouse, receiving and unpacking materials and supplies, dispersing to required inventory locations, departments or personnel, maintaining inventory records, operating a forklift, and ordering systems packaging. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Leading and coordinating all receiving and shipping logistics as well as the fulfillment and deliver of sales orders. 
  • Supporting internal and external shipping needs. 
  • Assisting carriers with customs/freight clearance. 
  • Ensuring the accuracy of fright-based documents entering or leaving the facility, including international shipments. 
  • Scheduling fright carriers as required to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while factoring in weight, size, destination, and due date variables. 
  • Maintaining proper shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading shipping labels, proof of origin, etc. 
  • Managing shipping costs for domestic and foreign shipments to optimize costs and service. 
  • Pulling items from proper locations and preparing them for shipment, using SAP ECC. 
  • Maintaining order picking performance consistent with the business objectives. 
  • Completing cycle counting to ensure consistently accurate inventory count. 
  • Verifying accurate Bills of Materials. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. 
  • 1-3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment with shipping/receiving experience preferred. 
  • Entry level SAP experience preferred. 
  • Ability to life up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to drive a forklift and/or secure the proper certification.
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
