- Leading research and development for sensors and transmitter technology at PendoTECH.
- Managing the engineering resources dedicated to the development of new sensors and transmitter products and services, including managing performance reviews, professional development plans, hiring, performance improvement, and resource and time management.
- Providing technical project management for multiple innovation and product development initiatives, ensuring on-time project delivery, on cost, on spec, and with a successful and complete transfer to manufacturing. Projects will include new product development/services, product upgrades, cost reduction programs and product quality improvements.
- Fostering an R&D culture that encourages innovation and team empowerment.
- Collaborating with marketing to define requirements and specifications for new products and MOL projects and ensuring clear traceability of technical performance verification to market requirements.
- Working with manufacturing and operations to establish clear expectations and product handoff requirements, and to provide easy-to-assemble and easy-to-test products.
- Working closely with R&D leadership, and other departments to deliver reliable and executable NPDI plans for the short term (1-3 years), and to contribute to R&D 5-year innovation roadmap that will provide new technologies on time for NPDIs.
- Providing technical leadership to effectively review multiple technologies and processes in the development of SU sensors, transmitters, and systems from concept to design qualification, and to production and service.
- Contributing directly by solving technical challenges, offering technical insights and new ideas, and managing risk and critical path items.
- Managing standards compliance testing and certification with UL, CE, and other applicable standards.
- Providing experience, skills, and leadership to emphasize a focus on product reliability, cost, and time-to-market.
- Conducting evaluations of competitor products.
- Participating in intra-company activities and teams such as audit, safety, product compliance, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with additional experience in the sensor and/or transmitter technology field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful engineering and project management supervisor experience.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and/or medical device industries required.
- Prior experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment.
- Ability to work fully onsite at our office in Plainsboro, NJ.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically or globally for visits to manufacturing sites or suppliers.
