Quality and Compliance Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Quality and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the AutoChem product portfolio consistently meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role collaborates with all departments to guarantee that products and services delivered to both internal and external customers adhere to quality management systems aligned with international standards, with particular emphasis on laboratory equipment standards, software, and ATEX/EX certification. The manager also leads ongoing quality improvement initiatives to address deficiencies and non-compliance, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Developing and sustaining our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 1900 standards and ATEX/EX directives. 
  • Overseeing all documentation related to quality processes, certification compliance, and laboratory equipment specifications, including but not limited to CAR, NCRs, and DCNs. 
  • Leading internal and external audits related to quality, customer, and regulatory compliance, including ISO and ATEX/EX certification audits. 
  • Advocating for quality improvements and modifications in development processes, procedures, and work products to resolve deficiencies and non-compliance. 
  • Managing and optimizing the Quality Notification (QN) process to ensure issues are reported by appropriate stakeholders and resolved effectively. 
  • Preparing, publishing, and presenting quality metrics for AutoChem. 
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on quality standards, laboratory equipment compliance, and hazardous area regulations, communicating changes promptly. 
  • Collaborating with manufacturing to focus on product and software quality, providing visibility on performance against standards and specifications. 
  • Working closely with product development, engineering, and production teams to embed quality and compliance requirements throughout product lifecycle. 
  • Serving as the primary liaison with certification bodies, regulatory authorities, and customers on quality and compliance matters.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of five years experience in a quality role, or equivalent combination or work and education. 
  • Certified Quality professional credentials (CQE, CQA, CMQOE). 
  • Experience with ISO 9000 standards. 
  • Strong understanding of ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, IECEx, and hazardous area certification standards. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
