Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Calgary, Alberta region. You will independently troubleshoot and repair industry-related products, perform calibrations and preventative maintenance as scheduled, and handle first-line customer service issues. Additionally, you will also take the lead to modernize, upgrade, and convert customers' existing equipment while ensuring accurate documentation and service reporting.

What you'll do:

Troubleshoot, install and repair all Mettler Toledo Products within Business Area.
Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.
Complete installs, repairs, calibrations, customer training, performance verifications and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Order, install, return parts and manage repair parts cycle time.
Participate in Service sales opportunities and assist with promoting service products.
Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Regional Service Leader, Senior FSTs and Support Specialists.
Comply with ISO & Measurement Canada standards when required by the customer.
Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems.
Maintain productivity levels as determined by Regional Service Leader and in accordance with National standards.

What You Need to Succeed

2-year college diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation Technology, or Electrical, along with experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or installation within the industrial electronics technology sector.
Interpret/read technical drawings and work instructions for the various products.
Experience working within a customer facing service environment.
Knowledge of Production packaging environments in the food industry.
Able to lift, transport and place test weights and equipment of up to 20 Kg (testing of equipment may require movement of up to 300Kg in 20 Kg increments).
Work flexible hours and provide on-call standby on a rotational basis.
Travel to the USA for training biannually
Willing to work overtime
