Production Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The AM-HUB Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing production activities to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on optimizing productivity and quality. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Effectively communicate and interact with both internally and externally stakeholders in a manner consistent with METTLER TOLEDO Visions and Values. 
  • Focuses on implementation of Continuous Improvement and is a champion for our corporate Lean initiatives. 
  • Maintain a safe and secure facility while meeting all facility related OSHA requirements 
  • Plan and organize production schedules, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and meeting production targets and deadlines. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow and adherence to specifications. 
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality. 
  • Coordinate workforce allocation and optimize staffing levels to meet production demands. 
  • Supervise and provide guidance to production staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards. 
  • Train and develop production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring skill enhancement. 
  • Monitor and control production expenses to achieve budgetary objectives while maintaining quality standards. Implement and maintain production performance metrics, such as production output, efficiency, and quality, and provide regular reports to management. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to manufacturing processes and safety standards. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination, and implement appropriate measures. 
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure the availability and reliability of production equipment. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production management.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's of Degree engineering, operations management, or a related field. Industry experience will be considered in the absence of a degree. 
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar production management role. 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Management or Leadership role is preferred
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse production team
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
