Quality Control Technician - Level l (M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Role/Purpose:
Responsible for performing final QC inspection and shipping of metal detectors
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform QC inspection and shipping requirements for metal detectors
  • Test mechanical operation of equipment to ensure that it meets Safeline specifications
  • Complete final Quality Assurance check list, PVC, and shipping documents.
  • Photograph and document equipment being shipped
  • Responsible for proper and safe packaging of equipment and movement to shipping Dept
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Maintains highest achievable 5S ratings throughout all areas of responsibility
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to QC and document performance, readings and settings on Performance Verification Certificate for metal detectors
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic hand tool operation and test equipment
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Safety conscious
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**


Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in similar environment
