Sourcing Specialist - IT

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Main Purpose of the Role: Provide strategic and operational procurement support to business stakeholders and coach Local units Procurement, in line with Mettler-Toledo procurement processes and policies. Lead tactical sourcing initiatives, manage RFXs, new contracts and renewals, undertake commercial and contractual negotiations, work closely with GIP Global Category Managers and work with internal stakeholders achieving both competitive costs and terms for METTLER TOLEDO.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility over GIP IT Category processes plus support procurement projects.
  • You support strategic and tactical sourcing projects for worldwide locations with increasing responsibility and in close collaboration with key stakeholders of all levels.
  • You work closely and proactively with GIP IT Category Managers and team lead to identify and realize savings & cost avoidance opportunities through commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers as well as you identify proportional contractual risks.
  • You support the implementation of the Category Strategies and additionally you will gather & analyze procurement spend data as well as prepare reports.
  • In addition, you will help to create, maintain, and continuously improve policies and procedures and support other related supply chain projects.
  • Last but not least you will are require to drive process improvements within the team and with stakeholders to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other ad hoc tasks in line with Global Indirect Procurement Strategy may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed

  • You have a bachelor degree in business, economics or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, consulting, key account management or related field in a globally operating organization
  • You have good experience in negotiation, contracting, procurement and dealing with stakeholders and suppliers internationally Buyer
  • You are proactive, eager to learn, self-motivated, have a solid financial acumen and analytical skills using Excel, SAP knowledge is an asset
  • You have a passion to negotiate good deals and to communicate with suppliers
  • Customer & Solution oriented
  • Structured and accurate work style
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Open for early morning or late night work to converse with stakeholders located in the Americas region
Additional Info:
  • There will be 10% of working night shift to support EU/USA.
